![]() ![]() I might try 11.2 beta on my M1 MacBook Air over the holidays to see if that changes anything. Cubase 10.5 and 10.0 does not have the same issue and seems to be running fine. Based on vintage exciter circuits and advanced dynamics processing, Fresh Air lets you add just the right amount of brilliance & shine to your mix in simple. If youve previously used Serato Sample on a macOS computer with Apple Silicon, you can now disable the Open using Rosetta preference in your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), after updating to Serato Sample 1.4.1. Steinberg make money from selling software and if not having M1 support means there is a whole section of users who can’t /won’t buy it then rest assured that will focus the priorities far more than fixing up some edge case bugs. Have tried Cubase 11 on an Intel Mac running Big Sur 11.1 and it runs fine there, so my theory is that it must be related to Big Sur 11.1 on Apple Silicon/M1. Serato Sample 1.4.1 adds native support for macOS computers with Apple Silicon (M1/M2 & variants), as well as support for macOS 13 Ventura. Most the other DAWS (apart from logic) are not really M1 ready - they are running using Rosetta, which isn’t the same as native - and most DAW companies are saying DO NOT USE M1 - Steinberg are not some weird and slow outlier like some seem to be implying. Mac(minimum): IntelMac 2.8Ghz or M1 Chip 16GB RAM Mac OSX 10.13 // M1/M2 native. The new MacBook Pro macs have powered headphone ports making amps unnecessary. The new M1 just out looks to be a beast and once cubase is soon to be M1 native, it will be incredible. One of the best things about the mini m1 is that it runs super cool no matter what i use it for, never had the fan go on yet and the case is still cool to the touch. Write, record, edit, and mix your Cubase music files on your Mac. Im running pro 11 on a mac mini m1 and it works great. Batianda Protective Case for MacBook Pro 13 inch M2 Chip 2022 2021 2020 Release A2338 M1. The M1 computer is superb value for money / power. I dont think any of the people who keep saying that cubase pro 11 doesnt work on a m1 actually use them. Rewriting and recompiling the code for a DAW like Cubase/Nuendo isn’t the same as doing an individual plugin - not even close and it’s silly to compare IMO. Cubase is much more reliable with less issues on a Mac. Customers who want to buy an M1 to produce music using Cubase won’t buy one unless Cubase is guaranteed to work on it. So Steinberg waiting until enough people are using M1 Mac’s seems a little illogical. I strongly suspect (guess) that support for M1 is near the top of the priority list for the development team way above closing out bugs / new licensing system / new features for C11.5, but bear in mind those will very likely be different teams. I want to get an M1 Mac, but I’m waiting until Cubase works on it (and the higher RAM models are released in a few months). I’ m just trying to add a note of common sense here and of course people are welcome to speculate - although none of the users on this forum knows what the state of development on M1 is but if you take a step back and look at the big picture… Cubase empowers musicians with a vast array of cutting-edge tools for composing, recording, editing, and mastering music effortlessly. ![]()
